Cash and Roman Felber Racing FARA Formula 2024 Season

January 14, 2024

CASH AND ROMAN FELBER TO CONTINUE THEIR DRIVER DEVELOPMENT COMPETING IN FLORIDA BASED SERIES FARA FORMULA

13 year old twin brothers Cash Felber and Roman Felber are set to contest their first full season of race car competition in the FARA Formula Championship. The twin brothers were born in Northeastern Ohio, and split their time between Ohio and Florida family homes.

FARA Formula is a twelve race championship comprised of six race weekends taking place at the Florida road courses Sebring Raceway and Homestead Miami Speedway. Ligier JS F4 is the specification race car for the championship, which provides an ideal balance of performance and driver safety for training young race car drivers.

Then age 12, Cash and Roman Felber began their JENSEN driver development program twelve months ago making their first Racing Camp program in January 2023. Since, the twins have extensively tested and raced the team's Ligier F4 race cars at circuits including Homestead Miami Speedway, MSR Cresson, and the Austin F1 circuit.

Team owner and driver coach Eric Jensen stated, "Starting at a young age is one the most successful strategies for young drivers to ultimately achieve their dream to race in Formula One. Achieving impressive results at ages 14 and 15 is critical for young driver's to be identified as top prospects in the F1 driver funnel, and with so much to learn it's essential that young driver's today start their car racing education years in advance of their 15th birthday."

What's past is prologue. Sage advice from William Shakespeare, the phrase stands for the idea that history sets the context for the present. Watch above the video of the Florida Winter Series hosted in winter 2014 by the Ferrari Formula One team's Ferrari Driver Academy on the same Florida circuits as the Felber twins will race: where the then roster of young drivers included three future Formula One drivers including three time champion Max Verstappen.

FIA sanctioned Formula 4 Championships are the first race series steps on the Formula One World Championship young driver development ladder. However, 15 is the required minimum age for young drivers to compete in FIA sanctioned Formula 4 series. So development series such as FARA Formula provide the ideal opportunity for young drivers to gain extensive and valuable practical knowledge in advance of their rookie FIA F4 championship seasons.

For a sample of their progress to date, below is a screenshot of Cash Felber's data from a recent F4 test at Homestead Miami Speedway. Top trace is speed, middle trace is throttle, bottom trace is brake pressure. Step 1 of being fast is understanding the math behind how to make fast laps. Step 2 is young drivers gaining the on-track experience to practice their driver inputs ( brake / throttle / steering / gearing ) in order to produce optimal data graphs.

FARA Formula 2024 championship kicks off at Homestead Miami Speedway in early February where Cash and Roman Felber will be racing their familiar Miami Blue JENSEN F4 race cars with an impressive sponsor list including :
