TEXAS TEEN ZACHARY LEWIS TO FINISH IMPRESSIVE ROOKIE RACE SEASON AT SONOMA RACEWAY

Following two podium-filled race weekends at the world famous Laguna Seca circuit, Zachary Lewis enters the Formula PRO USA F4 California series finale in 3rd place in the 2026 championship standings.

Zachary won his first car race at the Laguna Seca circuit in June. He continued that momentum with another impressive race weekend at Laguna Seca in October scoring 2nd and 4th place finishes.

Those two strong weekends advanced Zachary to a commanding 3rd in the 2026 championship standings entering the final round of the F4 California series on the weekend November 6-8 at Sonoma Raceway near San Francisco.

Known internationally as a competitive sim racer, Zachary had no previous real-life racing experience before attending one of the JENSEN team's F4 Racing Camp programs at Buttonwillow Raceway in February 2026.

JENSEN team owner Eric Jensen offers insights, "It's been a terrific season with young Zachary. He has grown so much in the 9 months since we started working together, both in and out of the race car. He listens to instruction as good or better than any other young driver that I've developed over the past 20 years. It will be very rewarding for our whole team to see Zachary finish 3rd in the 2026 championship knowing how well earned is the result."

Formula PRO USA Championship is comprised of six race weekends at tracks all located in California. Zachary missed the first round at Sonoma Raceway in March due to the late start of his 2026 development program. Series rules only allow drivers to count their best ten race finishes towards the championship standings, which makes his championship standing entering the series finale even more impressive.

Driving his familiar #1 JENSEN Ligier Formula 4 race car, Zachary competed in an SCCA race weekend at Sonoma Raceway in September. He consistently set lap times that will give him a solid chance to compete for pole postiions, and to finish his season with more podiums in the November Sonoma Raceway season finale.

Formula 4 is the entry level junior open-wheel race category on the FIA development ladder system intended to identify and train future drivers to compete in the Formula One World Championship. JENSEN owns four Ligier JS F4 pro spec race cars, and there are multiple championships across the USA that are terrific for new drivers to learn how to optimize their driving techniques and to gain competition experience.

Formula PRO USA Championship is one such championship, where the 2027 season will grow to feature seven race weekends at iconic California circuits once again including Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway.
