IMPRESSIVELY QUICK SOUTH AFRICAN SET FOR FORMULA 4 RACE DEBUT AT CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS
Zach Fourie is set to make his race debut competing on the JENSEN F4 team at the 2024 season finale of the Ligier JSF4 Championship at Circuit of the Americas located in Austin Texas.
Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, 15 year old Zach currently lives in Rabat, Morocco located on the northwestern tip of the African continent. Zach is a sophomore attending Rabat American School where he is the goalkeeper on his team's undefeated varsity soccer team.
Zach has been kart racing nationally for 2 years consistently competing for race wins and podiums. In July, Zach began his car racing development by attending one of the JENSEN team's Racing Camp programs at the circuit located near Fort Worth Texas where he immediately set times similar to current F4 and Formula Regional race winners.

JENSEN team owner Eric Jensen commented, "Zach is naturally quick, but perhaps more importantly he has a good technical understanding of the science of race car driving combined with the ability to learn quickly. In testing, Zach was quickly on pace with a couple of the fastest drivers the series has seen in recent years, so we are anticipating a competitive debut weekend at the Circuit of the Americas season finale ."
Ligier JSF4 Championship is an entry level junior open-wheel race series ideal for the development of promising young talents like Zach. Utilizing the 2023 pro spec Ligier F4 race cars, the 2024 championship comprises five race events at circuits across the United States including the Austin season finale on the same circuit where Formula One races just two weeks prior.
