AIDEN ZELAYA AIMS FOR TOP STEP AT F4 CALIFORNIA SERIES FINALE AT BUTTONWILLOW RACEWAY

North Carolina driver Aiden Zelaya has quietly achieved one of the most successful rookie performances of the 2025 junior racing season. Driving the #7 JENSEN F4 race car in the

2025 Formula PRO USA Championship, 18 year old Aiden has scored five consecutive podiums over his first three race weekends.

JENSEN team owner Eric Jensen commented, "From day one driving the F4 car Aiden showed exceptional talent. He possesses both key attributes of professional race car drivers; ability to set fast lap times and consistently over race distances. We started Aiden's driver development program mid-season so he missed the first two events of the California series, otherwise it is highly likely that he would have won the 2025 series championship."

Video above is riding with Aiden Zelaya as he leads the field driving the #7 JENSEN F4 race car at Sonoma Raceway in the Formula Pro USA Championship in September 2025. Aiden was super quick all weekend setting historically very quick 1:38 lap times for the Ligier F4 car at Sonoma. Obvious in the video is Aiden's natural pace carrying corner entry speed using tire scrub to slow the race car from turn in to apex. This is a hallmark of super quick race car drivers.

Aiden is currently fifth in the 2025 series standings entering the season finale at Buttonwillow Raceway. With another solid point scoring weekend, Aiden should jump to 3rd in the 2025 championship.

In advance of the season finale, Aiden will take another big step in his driver development program by testing one of the JENSEN team's Ligier F3 race cars at Buttonwillow Raceway.

Ligier F3 race cars feature 300 horse power turbo-charged Honda engines capable of top speeds over 160 mph. Many graduates from the Formula Regional series are excelling in the IndyCar series including Kyle Kirkwood, David Malukas, and Kyffin Simpson. One of the key reasons why the F3 race car has been so effective with training young pro drivers is the importance to learn how to carry increased corner entry speeds to unlock aero grip potential. As this is one of Aiden's clear strengths, he is expected to excel as he makes the jump to the much more difficult F3 race car.

Formula 4 is the entry level junior open-wheel race category on the FIA development ladder system intended to identify and train future drivers to compete in the Formula One World Championship. JENSEN owns four Ligier JS F4 pro spec race cars, and there are multiple championships across the USA that are terrific for new drivers to learn how to optimize their driving techniques and to gain competition experience.

Formula PRO USA Championship is one such championship, where the 2025 season will feature six race weekends at iconic California circuits including Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway.
