Zachary Lewis Shines in Sonoma F4 Race Debut

TALENTED TEXAS TEEN ZACHARY LEWIS FINISHES IMPRESSIVE 4TH IN F4 CALIFORNIA SERIES DEBUT 

Zachary Lewis showed impressive speed in his young driver development testing program, but still his debut race performance competing at Sonoma Raceway in the Formula PRO USA F4 California series was shockingly good.

14 year old Zachary finished 7th in the Saturday race, and backed that up with another strong drive in the Sunday feature race finishing 4th.

F4 California series round two of the season took place at Sonoma Raceway just north of San Francisco in picturesque wine country on the weekend April 24-26. Zachary showed maturity well beyond his years with a mistake free weekend all the while setting increasingly fast lap times.

Formula PRO USA Championship takes place over six event weekends at world famous California race tracks including Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca.

Zachary is set to drive the #1 JENSEN Ligier F4 race car for the remainder of the 2026 season. He doesn't have long to wait before making his return to the cockpit, as he practice at the circuit located near Fort Worth Texas followed one week later by round three of the 2026 F4 California series at Thunderhill Raceway on the weekend May 15-17.

Off track, Zachary is regarded as one of the world's top iRacing competitors. His 6,500+ rating places him in the top 1,500 iRacing drivers in the world ( out of 300,000 ) where he competes on the Altitude FreeM eSports team.

JENSEN F4 young drivers receive detailed track notes in advance of each race event, providing insights about optimal brake / throttle / steering / gearing strategies for every corner. Zachary's strong Sonoma results may in part be attributed to his diligence to utilize the track notes to practice driving Sonoma Raceway extensively on iRacing.

Formula 4 is the entry level junior open-wheel race category on the FIA development ladder system intended to identify and train future drivers to compete in the Formula One World Championship. JENSEN owns four Ligier JS F4 pro spec race cars, and there are multiple championships across the USA that are terrific for new drivers to learn how to optimize their driving techniques and to gain competition experience.

Formula PRO USA Championship is a rapidly growing regional F4 race championship, where the 2026 season features six race weekends all at iconic California circuits including Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway.
