AIDEN ZELAYA FINISHES 2ND IN F4 CALIFORNIA SERIES DEBUT AT LAGUNA SECA WITH TWO FRONT ROW STARTS

18 year old rookie driver Aiden Zelaya continued his JENSEN young driver development program with a strong showing competing in the Formula Pro USA championship series race at the famous Laguna Seca circuit located near Monterey, California.

Aiden started both races on the front row setting lap times nearing the Laguna Seca track record for the Ligier F4 race car. In the Sunday feature race, Aiden scored his first career podium with an impressive 2nd place finish.

Residing in Charlotte, North Carolina; Aiden attended a JENSEN Racing Camp in April 2025 at the Motorsport Ranch circuit near Fort Worth Texas where he immediately showed impressive speed. Aiden then made his competition debut with the JENSEN team at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in late April, where he likewise made an impressive performance.

JENSEN team owner and driver coach Eric Jensen said, "I've taught and developed more than 200 young drivers during the past 20 years; and Aiden Zelaya is among the best who I've seen in terms of natural speed. He's very intelligent, and a quick learner. It was incredibly impressive to see his 1:30 second lap times in qualifying at Laguna Seca especially given that we have done very few training days so far."

Formula Pro USA Western Championship is an entry level American junior open-wheel race series ideal for the development of promising young race car drivers. 2025 championship comprises six race events starting at Sonoma Raceway near San Francisco in March and concludes at Buttonwillow Raceway in November.

Sonoma Raceway located north of San Francisco, California is the location of the next race of the 2025 season on the dates September 12-14; where Aiden Zelaya will again pilot one of the JENSEN team's distinctive light blue Ligier F4 race cars.
